Rianne Jameson, Registered Dental Hygienist
Rianne (Ferrell) Jameson was born and raised in Pittsburg, KS. She graduated from Pittsburg High School in 1996 and from Dental Hygiene School in 2007. Rianne had over 15 years dental experience prior to becoming a hygienist, so she is very well rounded in the dental office. She has hundreds of hours of CE courses in pursuit of being the best in Dental Hygiene, as she was the TOP STUDENT in her class. Quality dentistry is an art and Rianne is excited she has the opportunity to work with a team of professionals that make it possible to offer the clients the results they desire. Rianne takes great pleasure in helping people achieve optimal oral and total body health. Rianne’s heart is larger than life, as most of our patients are like family to her. She is not only very passionate about her patient’s oral well being but their physical & emotional state as well. In her free time, this busy mom can usually be found at a wrestling tournament as she is coaching her boys to victory. Rianne and her husband, Tim, have two very sweet boys, Wes and Wil.

Kandi Hale, Treatment Coordinator
Kandi (Puryear) Hale grew up in Miami Ok, graduating from Miami High School in 1985. Kandi has been such a vital member to Saia Smile Center since 2007. As Treatment Coordinator, Kandi goes above and beyond to make every patients experience a positive one: whether its arranging a convenient appointment or formulating a financial plan to make your desired smile a reality, Kandi is always here to help! If you have to see a specialist, Kandi bends over backwards for you to make sure all your information is there when it’s time for your appointment. She is great at keeping our patients in an affordable budget to fit their lifestyle while achieving the best in optimal oral health. She spends countless hours on the phone with insurance companies checking benefits for the patients and presenting options for them to choose from: again, way beyond what most dental offices do, especially for patients who are out of network. Her sweet voice and contagious personality are second to none, as she really gets to know our clients and their families on a very personal level. On a summer night after work, you’ll usually find Kandi and her husband, Skip at the baseball fields cheering on their son, K.W. The couple also has two beautiful, successful, married daughters, as they anxiously await grandchildren!

Mandy Newberry, Dental Assistant & Invisalign Coordinator
Mandy (Braman) Newberry grew up in Parsons, KS graduating in 1998. She has over 10 years in the dental field, including pediatrics and orthodontics, prior to joining Dr. Jill in 2006. Mandy has spent many hours of continuing education with Dr. Pile to master the art of Invisalign: the clear, removable, comfortable way to do orthodontics. However, with her past experience, she is a great asset to Dr. Pile, who often “thinks outside of the box” for ways to utilize the Invisalign Technology as a correction to malocclusion, without having to use bands/brackets. Her pediatric experience also comes into play, as we are now doing Invisalign TEEN as well. As an Invisalign patient herself, Mandy is great about educating our clients on how important a proper bite affects your overall health. This is true not only for cosmetic reasons alone, but to assist with daily patient care in the prevention of Periodontitis, TMJ Disorder Symptoms, & Bruxism. Mandy’s easy going personality makes it easy for our orthodontic patients to confide and trust in her! Mandy loves spending time with her husband Kevin, and children Jaycie and Ashby.

Missy Mlekus, Child Hygiene & Marketing Coordinator
Missy (Crumpacker) Mlekus grew up in Girard, KS and graduated from GHS in 1999. She then continued her education at Pittsburg State University, where she was also a “Crimson and Gold Dancer” and Feature Twirler. Missy joined Saia Smile Center in 2009 as the leader of our Child Hygiene Department. It was her job to create a “fun and enjoyable” dental experience for the kids, as we quickly learned that Missy is “creative,” which is how she acquired the title of Marketing Coordinator. You can always tell when Missy has a child in the operatory as we hear “Cheers” throughout the entire building. Dr. Pile really appreciates Missy’s spunky personality to make every child’s trip to the dentist one they definitely won’t forget. Missy’s creative cheerleader side also comes out in her marketing (which makes her a perfect match for Dr. Jill, too). She designs all our advertisements, as well as manages the website, cavity free club, and facebook pages. If you like what you see so far, make sure you tell Missy, “Good Job!” In her spare time, Missy enjoys spending time with her husband Jeff, step-son Brandon, daughter Brooklyn and son Boston. (You can see her “creativity” as her children’s names start with a “B”, & end with the letter “N”.)

Heather Butler, Dental Assistant & Operatory Coordinator
Heather (Hester) Butler was born and raised in the Shawnee area graduating from Shawnee Mission Northwest in 1991. Heather formerly worked in KC as a dental laboratory tech for many years, in the production and fabrication of all dental restorations. She moved to the area and joined Saia Smile Center in 2010. She works very closely with Dr. Pile and the other assistants in all the procedures. Heather is a great team player, as she is learning all aspects of the dental office, this time from the patient perspective, instead of the laboratory view. Her previous dental experience is very insightful to Dr. Pile as she assists on the types of ceramics and choices available when creating smile designs. She has grown incredibly over the past year and strives to make sure each experience is as smooth and comfortable as possible. She’ll be the first to offer you a warm blanket, pillow, TV remote or a moist towel for your face. When not at work, Heather can usually be found “outdoors”, as fishing and hunting are hobbies that her and her fiancé share together. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her daughter, Danielle; her fiancé, Jimmie, and soon-to-be extended family.

Sunny Zafuta, Practice Coordinator
Sunny (Fields) Zafuta grew up in Frontenac, KS, graduating from FHS in 1997. She went to college at Pittsburg State University, and graduated from PSU Nursing School in 2001. Sunny has worked for the past 10 years as Clinical Coordinator at an Orthodpedic Clinic. Her history and education make her so well rounded in patient care, not to mention her “happy-go-lucky” personality. We're very excited about the wonderful qualities, work experience, and nursing knowledge that Sunny brings to Saia Smile Center. With her children in school at Frontenac, Sunny is elated by the fact that we take off for our kids school parties & activities. It is very important to all of us, to be “Moms, as well as, Clinicans” and she is estatic to be apart of our growing team. Sunny Fields married her “High School Sweetheart”, John Zafuta. They have two handsome boys, Owen and Evan. When their not working, they enjoy spending time with their families and watching their sons play whatever sport is in season!
